A wonderful and complete cookbook that begins with 16 local farm stories and then offers a collection of 50 recipes featuring the use of sustainable ingredients from restaurants in California’s Marin/San Francisco area. Beautiful photographs throughout the book help tell the story of the farmers and restaurants—and the food photography was extremely effective at making our mouths water! The recipes are conveniently organized into seasonal sections, and on each of the recipe pages, there is a tip on the ingredient or a small story on the contributing restaurant. Our team was able to try a couple of the recipes and found them easy to follow and delicious. This would be a great gift for anyone who loves to cook who has a special interest in sustainable ingredients.
